COMPANIES FOR SALE
The manufacturer of the highest performance, lowest operating cost wood recycling and recovery systems in the industry, is seeking a strategic financial partner. Starting from scratch in 1988, the Company has operated with a conservative approach, choosing to show steady positive growth in accordance with Company resources. Along the way, it has developed a reputation as the performance leader in the manufacture of high-end shredding and grinding equipment.

Having established a firm business platform, the Company is now ready to change its conservative strategy to take advantage of the growth in several important waste and recycling markets. The owner looking for a partner who has the resources to help expand production and distribution while broadening the management and organizational infrastructure in order to take maximum advantage of the Company’s product line and available market opportunities

The Company’s products are broadly used in reprocessing, reducing and densifying green waste, municipal solid waste, and construction and demolition waste, in conjunction with landfills, transfer stations, material recovery facilities, land clearing applications, and with industrial pulp mills, saw mills, and specialty wood products manufacturers. In addition to reducing volume, the outputs also produce such marketable products as mulch, bio-fuel, and compost. The Company’s customers range from independent owner/operators to municipalities to large, publicly traded waste companies, to wood product manufacturers and the industrial giants of the pulp and paper industry. Units are currently operating in the US and in eleven foreign countries..

The market for handling waste in the US, is approximately $40 billion, with treatment and disposal representing $10 billion. Within this category, it is estimated that the market for wood and green waste material recovery systems is approximately $400 million per year and growing. The market is growing along with the growth of recycling which has risen from 10% of all waste in 1980 to 27% in 2000. Further growth is expected as states are mandating major waste reduction programs in construction materials and yard waste that represent 50% of all materials in landfills.

The Company produces a range of large scale mobile and stationery grinding systems and accessories that are designed to suit the various applications above. The core of the products is a patented, offset helix design mill that provides superior performance, long life and low maintenance. Although the Company has over 400 grinding systems in operation at some of the leading organizations in the country, it still has a very small market share considering its reputation for quality and distinguishing performance. The owner feels that with resources dedicated to expanding the Company’s production capacity and distribution network, broadening the management and organizational infrastructure, and seeking new alliances and services that will provide additional value to its current and potential client base, the Company could become the market leader as well as the performance leader.

Revenue $22.5MM, EBITDA $1.8MM (ON HOLD)
